10 Fun Facts About UNIS’ Elisia

Have you ever had this kind of dream that feels like it’s really meant for you? When Elisia mentioned on her “Universe Ticket” introduction that the universe has been giving her signs to pursue her dreams in K-Pop… she was certain of it. One can see the sparks in her eyes when she gushes about her dreams, especially when she’s performing!

Before she entered K-Pop, Elisia was a child actress, print and TV commercial model, kiddie host, and a theater kid.

Here are some fun facts that you may or may not have known about UNIS’ Elisia.

1. Elisia was a Starship Trainee

Home of sensational groups such as SISTAR, MONSTA X, CRAVITY, IVE, and more, Elisia was able to be part of their company for a short time. During her days in Starship Entertainment, she was the only foreign trainee in the company.

2. Elisia got casted by the same casting agent that discovered NewJeans’ Minji

After her iconic win in “Universe Ticket”, Gori Agency posted an Instagram story congratulating Elisia. She was also added to their album of debuted/casted idols.

3. She got scouted by BELIFT LAB

When Elisia attended her favorite K-Pop group ENHYPEN‘s fan meeting in Manila, she was able to gain the attention of their company, BELIFT LAB. So much so that they offered her to be their trainee. However, due to her contract to Starship Entertainment, she had to decline.

Other than that, Filipino ENGENE shared their excitement once they discovered that the pretty long-haired girl they’d encountered was actually Elisia. Some even posted a photo they took with Elisia and shared how much she exuded idol vibes in real life!

4. Elisia auditioned for “The Lion King Musical”

Along with her cousin Marcus of HORI7ON (who played as one of the young Simbas of “The Lion King Musical” International Tour 2018-2020), she also tried for a role in the prestigious musical. She was able to reach the final stage of audition, but unfortunately didn’t get the role.

5. Speaking of musicals, Elisia learned how to rap through her favorite musical — “Hamilton”!

Yes, you read it right. She’s a HAMILFAN! Elisia knew every line and song of the musical. She’s a huge fan of the “Hamilton” musical and even did a song cover of ‘First Burn’ on her YouTube channel. After her fans discovered her cover of ‘First Burn’, they can’t help but praise her vocal prowess. Who knows? Maybe she’ll play the role of Eliza someday as a theater actress!

6. Elisia was a child actress

By now, you’ve probably seen Elisia throwing the line from “Nang Ngumuti Ang Langit” that goes like “Here comes the fake new queen!” Despite being the only auditionee who didn’t have any acting experience or workshop, Elisia received a call back for the lead role casting. She didn’t get the title role, but the director remembered her and she was given a smaller role in the show. With that, she was able to debut as an actress at the age of 9!

Not bad for a first timer, right? With her acting experience, she was able to utilize it and use her skills in “Universe Ticket” where she always got praised for her on point facial expressions during her performances.

7. Elisia was a kiddie show host

Elisia took part in the show “Kidstylista“, an English lifestyle show for kids and tweens that was aired on TFC and ABS CBN Entertainment and YouTube channel when she was 10. Through this, you can actually see how much star potential she has.

8. Elisia is a Taekwondo black belt at the age of 12

Aside from her interest with music and performing, Elisia also dabbled in the world of sports! Taekwondo is a sport known for discipline and sportsmanship.

Thanks to her beloved sport, she was able to incorporate its principles to her performances and work ethic in “Universe Ticket”.

9. Elisia received her university scholarship at 7. Yes, a college scholarship at 7!

Elisia was one of the winners of a national kiddie talent contest in the Philippines in 2017 (“SM Little Stars“). She was a runner up for the contest and with her win with this contest, she was rewarded with a trip to China and a college scholarship.

10. Elisia walked on several runways as a kid model

One of the highlights of her modeling career was when she was 8 years old. Elisia walked on SM Samsung Hall where she was featured in “Preview Magazine Style Bible” which is considered one of the prestigious publications in the Philippines.

Elisia is a dreamer who’s taking the initiative to step forward to achieve her dreams.

Just like what Elisia mentioned in her introduction, “I knew that K-Pop is for me and the universe is giving me signs that I should pursue my dream in K-Pop. It’s just a matter of when, who, and how.”

Sure, she may not have been casted on her previous auditions. Or she may not have won the top prize from her previous contests. But ultimately, through her adventures, she was able to find and reach her goal along the way. But if one was to describe Elisia to where she is now, the quote “If it’s meant for you, it’ll come to you” definitely fits her journey.

And at the moment, we can definitely say the universe is rooting for her.
