It was announced that will be having their comeback in Korea in Apr. 1, 2019 and I am very looking forward to this.
The group had a great success last year and continues to do so this year as well. They were very fruitful in both Korea and Japan as they have won their ‘Shinin-Sang’ (Best New Artist of the Year) and also went on top of the list in Oricon Chart (Japan).
Based on their achievement last year, the expectations towards this comeback seems pretty high.
I feel like there are two key elements required for IZ*ONE to have another great successful album as this is their ‘sophomore’ album release in Korea.
First, there are fans hoping to have a song that has broader appeals to the public.
Their debut song, ‘La Vie en Rose’ was certainly a great song as well, but there were some opinions that the song was a bit complicated. It would be great if they could come back with a bit simpler song that can provide a better understanding to the public than the first.
The reason for that is because based on their successful achievements, I’m sure the fans and the listeners’ expectation has gotten way higher for this album and will be a bit tougher to satisfy the audience. This could also mean that they will have to catch two birds (Degree of Completion and charts) with one stone (album).
Secondly, it’s the harmony between Korean and Japanese members.
It has been sometime after IZ*ONE’s debut and it’s important that the parts distribution between Korean and Japanese members and the group’s harmony on the stage are well balanced as there are only three Japanese members within the group.
I feel like the success of this comeback in Korea can predict how well the group will do this year, and I really hope IZ*ONE’s comeback on April 1st, can be successful!
