A Malaysian Fan Talks About Her Favorite Actress Kim YouJung & The Reasons Why She Loves Her

Suhana Amira from Malaysia is the next fan to answer our questions about their favorite actress- Kim YouJung! Check out how she became her fan, the reasons why she is a fan, the dramas she recommends, and much more insights about Kim YouJung.

 

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

My name is Suhana Amira from Malaysia I’m 25 years old and I like travelling and taking photographs and videos of nature. Currently finished my education in tourism course.

 

Who is your favorite Korean actor/actress? And how and when did you become a fan?

My favourite Korean actress is Kim YouJung or known as “Sageuk Fairy”, “Nation’s Little Sister “ and latest is “Global First Love”. I became her fan when I first saw her in “Moon Embracing The Sun” where she was still a little girl at that time. Actually I watch the movie because of Kim SoHyun as a little girl, but ended up falling for Kim YouJung. I see that she’s very very very good in acting. How could a girl who’s still a child act like that. It was very superb. I was in awe of her acting that I liked her more than the adults females actresses that played their character as an adult.

 

What are the reasons why you love your favorite actor?

Of course the first one is about her acting. I can feel what she wants to deliver through her acting by just looking at her eyes. As we know, she’s very popular for her eyes. Other than her best acting. I really like how she’s always making people comfortable with her first whenever she joins any project, drama or film. Although she’s a senior, she will make the first move by talking to them first. I remember that she always says that she wants to make the child actor/actress feel comfortable at the shooting site because she knows that child actors/actresses have many difficulties to adapt to at first. As she was once a child actress, she knew the hardships. She has the purest heart. Not only with the child actress of course, but with her co-actors and co-actresses too. They always said she’s very considerate and sweet to them because she always make them comfortable. Next, she always give donations. Whether people knew it or not, she would still do it. I like that she always thinks about other people. I also like her because she really knows what to do in her life, and she tries all kinds of things. As she has a lot of hobbies, she enjoys herself as a young adult and as a normal person. She enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, she draws and paints, fishes, camps alone, makes pots, and many more that I wish I can list it. And now she’s doing theatre, which was her dream, after a long time in the industry. Not so many actresses want to go out from their comfort zone like her. Then, I really like her because she picks her role as a positive person that always motivates people, as she’s want to encourage people to be positive and to receive help from her roles. There are many more reasons that I like her but I will stop here for now.

 

Can you recommend dramas or movies starring your favorite actor for new fans?

For drama, I will recommend “Love in the Moonlight”, “Backstreet Rookie”, “Moon Embracing The Sun” and “Clean With Passion For Now”. For movie it’s “20th Century Girl”, “The Dirge Singer”, and “The 8th Night”.

 

 

Do you have an all-time favorite scene? Can you describe it or share a video?

I have many favorite scenes from her every drama and movie. As for drama “Moon Embracing The Sun”, I like all her scenes but there are two scenes that I really like the most which is scene when she was dying in her father’s arms. The scenes were very heartbreaking and beautiful as she was giving her all in the scenes with tears in her eyes, and her dialogues that really suit the scenes. The second is when Kim SooHyun meets Kim YouJung on the hill where he lost his bodyguard, and ends up meeting Han GaIn, but he was seeing Kim YouJung in her. I could see the scenes between YouJung and SooHyun as soo pure, even if they were not in same age. For “Love In The Moonlight”, I really like her dances scenes, which were very soft and fantasy-like. She looked very beautiful and dreamy in the scenes and of course, in the scenes where she said to Park BoGum to never leave her, when he was stab by the evil person, and Kim YouJung cries. That was very very good and it seemed so real. For “Backstreet Rookie”, the scenes I liked the most are all the scenes, because she was very energetic and beautiful in that drama. Hehehe. For movie, the most memorable scenes is in the “20th Century Girl” is when she was crying while fighting with YoonDoo, and for the movie “The Dirge Singer”, when she was crying and met the lead boy at the campfire, and they exchanged stories. For “The 8th Night” the best scene is at the ending of the movie when YouJung at the desert just shows her faces without any dialogue but I could tell what she wanted to say.

 

What was your favorite answer given by your favorite actor in an interview?

She want to be a good actress who can give positive vibes to her fans and helps people throughout their life. Although some people say she’s doing same roles as a cheerful girl, I know she’s taking roles that she chooses, and that will make her happy, and something that can get someone through a bad day and make them happy again after watching her movie with many positive things.

 

What is your favorite actor’s influence on your daily life or yourself?

Yes. Actually I became interested in the history of Korea and its culture by watching her drama especially when I watched “The Dirge Singer”.

 

What genre do you want your favorite actor to appear in? What’s the reason?

I want Kim YouJung to appear as a Chaebol daughter, or as a detective. It’s because she’s never appeared in anything close to the genres that I mentioned. So I want to see new side of her in that kind of genre.

 

What are the actors you would like your favorite actor to act with? What’s the reason?

The first one is Ji ChangWook, because although they already became partners in “Backstreet Rookie”, it was not enough for me because their chemistry is superb and very very good. Their faces are very similar and they are really good in acting, and they are both beautiful, which make them very suitable. Next is Park BoGum, because I just love their interaction. Park BoGum seems to really take care of YouJung. I really like how sweet he is to YouJung. Then Hwang InYoup, because he seem really like her in “Young Actors’ Retreat”, and they have great chemistry too. Then Park SeoJun as a sibling, and then Nam DaReum because they have a great chemistry too, although they acted in “The 8th Night” just as friends.

 

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite actor?

There are many, and I feel angry but I will ignore it because I just want to focus on her as my idol and don’t want to embarrass her reputation as her die hard fan. I don’t want her to go through difficult times because of her fans because I love her. Only her real fans know who the real KIM YOUJUNG is.

The plot and the acting. It’s like combination of these two because without a good plot, it’s seem same like other dramas, and without good acting, it will be frustrating to watch, actually.

I would like to meet you once in real life because I want to see how beautiful you are in real life, because people say you’re more beautiful face to face. I hope I can meet you soon. And I actually always wait for your new drama. I hope you can come out in one drama for each year, but I know you need to rest too. So I’m happy to wait, and seeing you happy doing your hobbies and hang out with friends and family gives me joy. That’s how much I love you. And I hope you’ll always be strong from the haters that hated you because you’re beautiful inside out, that’s why they are hating you. You’re very special, Kim YouJung. You grew up well. I love you. No matter how many new actresses, how many people don’t like you because haters really gonna hate but I will still love you. I purple you 💜.
