6 Idols Who Used “Keyboard-Switch” With Their Instagram Username

Roman Alphabet and Korean keyboards have different placement of characters. According to “The Guardian”, the Roman Alphabet keyboard or QWERTY are designed for use on typewriters so that frequently used letters are separated, avoiding clashing or jamming the most commonly used letters. Meanwhile, consonants and vowels are separated in Korean keyboards, so it’s easier to type quickly because vowels usually follow consonants. Consonants are on the right-hand side, and vowels are on the left-hand side.

Idols with unique Instagram usernames sometimes confuse overseas fans, especially because their usernames are not matching with their names on the first look and moreover they can’t be search easily on Instagram. That is because they are typing Korean words for their usernames but are typing it with the keyboard set to the Roman Alphabet, instead of Korean.
