The interview takes place in the first half of the video on “Show Champion” episode 485, where Hui talked about his experience as an artist and idol, including talking about his various tracks and PENTAGON‘s official releases from their debut album, their 8th mini album “Genie:US,” as well as the tracks ‘Like This’ and ‘Runaway’ (Hui has credits for the PENTAGON songs ‘Shine’, ‘Naughty Boy’, and ‘Daisy’).
He was previously a trainee at JYP Entertainment, where, in 2010 JYP Entertainment’s 7th audition final round, Hui would go on to win the 1st place of Best Male Vocal. He also appeared in G.NA‘s ‘Secret’ MV and numerous promotional activities. He even appeared in Rain‘s ‘Rain Effect’ music video.
Not only did Hui win second place on the singer songwriter competition show “Breakers”, but he also joined “King of Masked Singer” under the alias “Crane Guy” and made it to the third round. On the show, he performed his self produced song ‘Swim Good’ with SoMin of KARD.
For a short period of time, Hui (Lee HoeTaek) was apart of the co-ed trio Triple H and is the leader of the trot boy group Super Five of MBC’s Favorite Entertainment alongside ASTRO’s MJ, former A.CIAN member Chu HyeokJin, Ok JinWook, and Park KyungSuk. Not only might you recognize Hui from these activities, but you might have heard of some of the songs Hui has writing and or composing credits for: Wanna One‘s ‘Energetic’, JO1 ‘Oh Eh Oh’, “Produce X 101″‘s ‘BoyNess’, and Nation’s Son‘s ‘Never’. He recently gained attention for his appearance on “Boys Planet,” capturing many hearts with his teary reasoning for joining the show itself.
