1TEAM debuted as a five member South Korean boy group underneath LiveWorks Company on March 27th 2019 with their first mini album “Hello!” and the track “Vibe”. The MV known for its catchy lyrics, “Its Ya Boi BC,” and refreshing music video that time, showcasing the members in a fun and lively environment. They began by posting interviews on YouTube that introduced the members, with the title “Team LWZ“, before slowly revealing more about the members and their personalities through “Hello! 1Team TV” Prologue Film, Jacket Making and various promotional videos for ‘VIBE’, which often consisted of English, Japanese and Chinese subtitles for international fans to enjoy the content and connection with the members. Before, the group attracted 108K subscribers (which remains on the official 1Team Channel as of August 4, 2023), with fans hopeful for a notification from the group. 

The group had their first official fan con in 2019 and performed numerous releases, throughout their career. The group later released the single, ‘JUST’, ‘ONE’, and their last single in 2020 ‘ULLAELI KKOLLALEI’. The latter acted as a gift to many fans as the members went on their own paths to pursue their other goals. The members JinWoo and JeHyun continued their dreams as idols and musicians and were revealed to be part of the group OMEGA X, who made headlines for standing up to their company for abuse and mismanagement. The members even seen verbally abused by fans before the press and lawyers were evolved. OMEGA X made a comeback with their new company, with the song ‘DREAM’. 

After the release of their last single in 2021, unfortunately, 1TEAM disbanded in March 2021, despite only being a group for two years.

1Team’s name that means, “Unique individuals become new as one” and this was proven to be true with the members’ diverse charms and aura that a lot of Team Ones came to love. 1Team had an interview with Kpopmap back in August 2020, when the group was promoting their latest release, ‘ULLAELI KKOLLAELI’, talked about what the song means, what they wanted to express, and more. The member BC composed the track himself and received credits for the song. You can view and listen to BC’s older songs on SoundCloud, despite not posting in the platform since 6 years ago. If you frequented the K-Pop side of YouTube anywhere within 2019, you might have come across or have been recommended these videos by 1Team, including how the group’s dance practices for their numerous songs, or you might recognize some of these covers. 

The group still actively has monthly listeners on streaming platforms such as Spotify, and is often still brought up amongst fans, despite the group splitting and going on their own paths, with some even leaving social media and the music industry overall, while others begin to pursue their other dreams.

1. Lee RuBin (or Lee HaeJoon)

The member legally changed his name to Lee RuBin, and he might be recognized with another name, Colin, on Instagram.

After retiring from the music industry, not only is he known for being majoring in Western Painting, but according to his own personal Instagram as pictured below, the former idol is gaining attention for the passion he has for various works such as modelling and even photography.

2. BC (Chin SungHo) 

BC is known for his tagline, “Its Ya Boi BC”

Although BC does have an official Instagram and can be seen updating fans rarely, including pictures of his cats, many maybe shocked to see his name credited on OMEGA X’s album. The idol previously has credits for 1TEAM’s ‘Make This’, and ‘Ullaeli Kkollaeli’, before going by his name AnoTHeR. 

He is known and credited for a number of OMEGA X’s songs: ‘ICETAG’, ‘OMEGA X’, ‘VAMOS’, ‘WHAT’S GOIN’ ON’, ‘BAILA CON OX’, and more.

3. JinWoo and JeHyun in OMEGA X

After their comeback with ‘Play Dumb’, OMEGA X released their Japanese song ‘Stand Up’ and announced all 12 cities of the U.S leg of their tour “CONNECT: Don’t Give Up.” Then, issues arose. HanGyeom was absent from the group’s stop in Mexico City due to health issues. OMEGA X’s agency at the time cancelled the New York city tour date due to miscommunication with the promotion company. Abuse allegations and verbal abuse that featured JaeHan and TaeDong went viral after fans posted the content, showcasing the issue. New information about the mistreatment came into light, that even another former SPECTRUM member expressed anger at the CEO for her assault against the members and his friend. 

Thankfully, the 1TEAN members, JeHyun and JinWoo, and the rest of the members of OMEGA X won their lawsuit against Spire Entertainment, including filing and obtaining the rights to their group name OMEGA X and their fandom name, FOR X. Through various announcements and updates, the members let fans know that were doing okay on their own Instagram. The group made a new Instagram account (@omega_x_for_x), and their previous official Instagram was quick to lose many followers due to this. The group vowed to chase their dream together before the group announced their successful departure from the company. Soon, JaeHan and YeChan’s BL Web Drama “A Shoulder To Cry On” and the group’s digital single, ‘Dream’ was released. 

 

4. Lee JungHoon

The lead rapper and maknae of the group shocked everyone with a complete transformation and his choice of career path- Fitness Trainer. The member also won awards for body building. 

Many might be surprised to learn about the maknae’s hobbies and new career path by looking at the group’s old content, but TeamOne can’t help but mention not to be scared by his appearance. The former idol is still doing well and seems to be really happy with his progress! He often wins various prizes for his progress and competes in fitness contests and is a great individual to look up to.
