In a previous article, we discussed the K-Pop group 1TEAM and how two of its members Xen and JeHyun debuted in the 11 member South Korean boy group OMEGA X. We also mentioned the group winning the lawsuit against their former agency, including getting the official copyrights to both their group name OMEGA X and their fandom name FOR X. OMEGA X also created a new Instagram account (@omega_x_for_x).
Since then, OMEGA X took to their official SNS (Social Media) to announce and showcase a new logo profile picture change including releasing a new variety show on their official YouTube Channel.
Did you know? Not only has OMEGA X released their single ‘Dream’ but the members JaeHan and YeChan also released their BL (Boy’s Love) Drama “A Shoulder To Cry On.” The new company and OMEGA X also announced a concert in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan for September. The group also achieved and celebrated their 2nd anniversary with a fan meeting!
According to the South Korean news source and website, Korea Joong Ang Daily, the song ‘Dream’ was first unveiled at the group’s performance at the “Hanteo Music Awards” in February. The track is an emotional ballad track that sings about the member’s honest feelings while preparing for their long awaited activities, and showcases a different side to the group as they are known for their EDM- Hip-Hop focused and heavy hitting songs: ‘Whats GOIN’ On’, ‘ICETAG’, ‘VAMOS‘, ‘OMEGA X‘, and more.
Recently, on July 28, 2023, the group premiered their new variety series since signing with a new company, with fun challenges, the members enjoying, and making fun of each other in karaoke and more. The show, being a nice change of scenery for fans, and even casual listeners or K-Pop fans, got everyone excited to see the members in such a positive environment, just enjoying their life after difficult hardships.
It is always refreshing to see people chasing their dreams even after hardships and uncertainty if they want to continue down that path. The members are known for their past promotions in other groups that are now on hiatus or disbanded. This makes their show and latest release even more comforting for many, that even after their struggles, one can always find the strength one need. It also makes people realize that it’s okay to reach out for help, and that beginning the conversation is always something we can do to help anyone in a similar situation.
