iKON Finds Themselves Inside A ‘PANORAMA’ Of Love And Despair In Latest Release

An iKON comeback in a span of months might have been impossible in the past, but gone are the days of music drought as the 6-piece band gained more creativite freedom since moving to a new agency. With the special single ‘PANORAMA’, iKON is back after only three months since their first full-length album ‘TAKE OFF’ after 5 years.

Though more popularly known for their swag, hip-hop image with hit tracks ‘Rhythm Ta’ and ‘Love Scenario’, iKON also shines as bright with their lighter, mid-tempo offerings and ‘PANORAMA’ adds to the collection.

The whole ‘PANORAMA’ picture opens with ‘T.T.M’. We imagine the track as a kind of monologue of a person “talking to myself” after being left alone in longing. The whole picture then rolls into a short cinema with ‘PANORAMA’, the lead single of the same name. ‘PANORAMA’ comes in two kinds of music videos, the usual music video and an extended “drama version”. In both music videos, we see the boys of iKON play out different kinds of love stories that are sadly bound to end.

Overall, ‘PANORAMA’ is a sweet listen, though bringing a message of love in longing masked in bright and upbeat tunes. Though iKON already has two actors (namely ChanWoo and JunHoe), it is refreshing to see them act in a music video, especially YunHyeong whose fans hope to see try out acting in the future.
