Celebrating 15 years in an industry often haunted by the “7-year curse”, SHINee, a contemporary band featuring Onew, JongHyun, Key, MinHo, and TaeMin, proves resilience with their latest documentary, “My SHINee World.”
The film, named after their devoted fans or popularly known as “SHAWOL”, chronicles the group’s journey, showcasing their backstories, triumphs, struggles, and concert highlights. Presented in Philippine cinemas nationwide from November 17-19, this special production, brought to the Philippines by CDM Entertainment and Rafaella Films International, captures the essence of SHINee’s enduring success.

The three-day film showcase was kickstarted by a Pearl Aqua Carpet Night at SM Megamall drawing in a crowd of enthusiastic SHAWOLs numbering in the hundreds.

Filipino fans of SHINee, known as Filo-SHAWOLs, united over three days to watch the movie. Volunteer SHAWOLs from Davao and Iloilo organized exclusive block and group screenings in their respective cities in coordination with SHINee World Academy PH (SWAPH).
With the joy of being together to cheer for their favorite K-Pop group, Iloilo-based fans organized a special block screening on 18th of November at SM City Iloilo Director’s Club.

Nothing can ever hinder a fan’s heart as Davao SHAWOLs planned and organized themselves to watch together at a group screening at SM Lanang Premiere last November 18th.
SWAPH organized an exclusive block screening at SM Light Mall Cinema 1 on its last day, November 19.

To build up the experience, all attendees were offered an unlimited photo booth available before the start of the movie. Loot bags that include SHINee-related snacks, goodies and unofficial merchandise such as hologram movie tickets and hand banners were also given as freebies to everyone. Generous fans were also seen giving away free items and handmade products to fellow Filo-SHAWOLs during the screening.

SHAWOLs screamed, cheered, and at times cried with their light sticks throughout the movie until the credits rolled. The cheering continued as a raffle of both official and unofficial merch happened afterwards, and even the display tarps were given away as a last-minute addition.

The block screening ended with everyone cheerfully chanting all five members’ names, hoping to manifest a SHINee World Concert in the Philippines very soon.
In line with the banners’ message, SHAWOLs express their enduring commitment to SHINee, “from 1st to 5ever.”
