Heo Hoy Kyung is a singer-songwriter who debuted in 2021 with [Nothing Matters]. She is an artist who stands out for the mellow voice and sincere lyrics. She is also attracting attention as a story of comfort to many listeners with the recently released singles [Kim Cheolsu Story] and [So life goes on]. The folk ballad song ‘So life goes on’, expressed with clean and calm tone and beautiful string sound, represents our life going back and forth. It is also a song that quietly gives comfort while talking about the direction of our lives. After releasing [Hug me tight], Heo Hoy Kyung was selected as the cover artist of Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds Korea’. Jang Pill Soon is an idol of K-pop female singer-songwriter and a living legend in the Korean folk scene.
From her debut album [Suddenly] in 1989 with fusion jazz based on folk, [When My Loneliness Calls You] – her biggest achievement as a singer-songwriter in 1997, to folk-tronica masterpiece [Soony 6] from 2002, all her works were praised for the albums representing the 80s, 90s and 00s.
[Petrichor], with the sounds like nature from Jeju Island where she lives, was also selected as the folk album of the year by Korean Music Awards 2021.

Oohyo is undoubtedly one of the most representative singer-songwriters in the Korean indie scene. Her debut EP [Girl Sense] was loved not only by the indie fans but also the listeners all over the world. Her albums were introduced by various magazines, ‘The needle Drop(US)’, ‘Spectrum Culture(US)’, ‘The Vibe Guide(US)’, ‘Unimag(Germany)’, and also other Japanese magazines. Her music was also mentioned by many artists including Jessica (former member of Girls Generation) and Krystal (former member of f(x)). Many listeners may remember Oohyo as an acoustic singer-songwriter, but actually you can find her using unique synths on top of the acousitic band sound and that’s why she’s called a synth pop artist. You can find both of her music style on her single released in 2016, [Youth], which features two different versions of ‘Youth’, the DAY version and NIGHT version.
