6 of the latest updates about I.M since making his solo debut with ‘Duality’ and his solo comeback ‘Lure’

With the completion of the show that started it all for MONSTA X (몬스타엑스), I.M would be the 6th trainee to officially be announced as the upcoming debut member after only two years of training underneath Starship Entertainment. Originally debuting as 7 members, MONSTA X would release numerous hits and fan favourite EP’s, singles and Japanese releases. The group would impress the public both at home and abroad in numerous articles around the time of their debut, some (but not limited to), DAZED, FORBES, Tidal, Teen Vogue to name a few.

MONSTA X (몬스타엑스) became known for their strong and unique debut image and impressive story line within each comeback. Despite the hardships the group and the fanbase would endure overtime, the group would find there footing and impress fans all around the world. 

Since then, Im ChangKyun is known for being the lead rapper, sub vocalist and Maknae (youngest member) has announced that he would officially sign with Sony Music Korea back in 2022 to handle his solo career, promotions and various schedules as an artist. This would only happen one year since making his solo debut with the EP album [ Duality ]. 

Although the artist is known for being the rapper within the group, intrigued readers or new Monbebes can seen a different vibe to the artist and his ability to adapt to new situations and vocal abilities. Showing off his way of trying new music genres and his well beloved English to Korean song lyrics, this would be seen on his first comeback EP [ Off the Beat ]. The 6 track EP would contain the following and well fan beloved tracks; LURE (Title Track), Bust it (Explicit), XO, Skyline (Explicit), MMI, nbody (Nobody) on April 3rd 2024.

One way idols, artists, models or all those in between can get the attention of new individuals or reach out to a larger audience often comes with different promotions. From magazine pictorials, brand ambassador ships, modelling campaigns, cf (Commercial) campaigns, radio show appearances, challenges and more to name a few. 

I.M has an impressive work ethic that any Monbebe can gain courage from no matter what industry they are in or if they are in school. 1. Achieving his first solo tour and interviews. 

While the other Monsta X members Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon and Joohoney were currently serving in the military during this time, I.M would announce his first official solo world tour where he would perform numerous fan beloved tracks. I.M would achieve an impressive achievement for any solo artist, two days sold out for his Seoul Concerts at Jangchung Arena in Seoul. 

2. Officially releasing his solo fan community website with b.stage.

Although K-Pop idols are known to be and share their content on different websites and SNS (Social Media) apps, not only is Weverse one of the most popular options for fans to get artist related merchandise and artist to fan communications (where idols can see their fanbase posts and possibly heart fan letters, or comment on posts). Another platform that has gained attention lately is a site called ‘b.stage’. As previously reported, artists such as Bang Yongguk, Leo of Vixx, Na Inwoo, EVNNE, Catch The Young and formerly TIOT (Time is our Turn) have since joined the platform.

I.M would later join the platform after signing with Sony Music Korea, sharing with fans exclusive stories and selfies or behind the scene content to those with membership access. While the platform is also home to a free talk community, shop (merchandise) and links to other official content from I.M. 

3. Radio Show Host with Kiss the Radio.

Originally hosted by DAY6’s YoungK, back in June through this article with Soompi who would write about the announcement. They would later share that Monsta X’s I.M would be announced for the newest DJ on the show not to long after impressing fans and the general public by being a host on Naver Now’s ‘Midnight Idol’ alongside his fellow member Kihyun.

4. Tone & Music Festival.

After announcing the festival and line up through their official SNS and Instagram pages, I.M would perform at the festival on Saturday after Fly By Midnight and Big Naughty. Looking stunning in blue and white with casual fashion, Monbebe’s would share their favourite photos and applaud I.M for his performance on Day 1. 5. On the Beat.

Officially announcing through an Logo Teaser on April 5th 2024, before EP0 would be released next by KBS. The series starting off with a solo episode by I.M where the artist would go through the tracks of his newest release like ‘LURE’ and ‘nbody’ in a 4k video performance. 

As the time went on, I.M would host various episodes with different artists and individuals. The show itself being a play of words from [ Off the Beat ]. The show would consist of episodes with Zico, iKON’s Bobby, Epik High, Dynamic Duo, Ateez HongJoong and more.

The show is something I suggest to anyone who loves artists talking about music, getting a deeper talk about certain songs and live performances of your favourite tracks. 

6. IMVITATION Pop Up Store Announcement, Merchandise and more.

Hoping on the trend of pop up stores that allow fans an exclusive and special experience with a catchy title [ I.M x Invitation ], IMVITATION would be announced through I.M’s SNS and through an livestream he would share the announcement on April 11th 2024. The livestream description also shared the dates it would be taking place (Friday to Sunday), including the place fans can get more information about the event. Upon numerous SNS platforms, Monbebe’s would vlog and create videos about the store, picking up their in person only merchandise and share their experience.
