SBS releases ONF’s stunning performance of the viral hit ‘Bye my Monster’

Sometimes mandatory military service is a hard time for fans, especially when members of your favourite group or crew leave for military one by one, leaving at different times, some getting promotions while others get non at all. During this time lucky fans do manage to recieve pre film content, special pre planned tweets, fan concerts, fan cafe events and more during this time to make the time a little more less hard. Although this may not always be the case, and as the official group to make history as listed by numerous publications; NME, The Korea Times, and more. 

ONF known for discussing social messages, intriguing story telling, incredible discography, talented members, catchy/emotional/relaxing b sides in their album, experimenting with concepts and music genres, the group would notably gain attention for appearing on the first Road to Kingdom. Paired with viral stages of the group performing while spending time in the military together, (see; “the hype boy military guys”, Kpop Stars enlisted in army go viral for cover performance, onf military by evenfullersun on Tiktok). It’s clear why both old and new fans would desperately wish for their safe and healthy return to the stage. Although the group would release an official comeback on October 4th with the well fan beloved 5 track EP [ Love Effect ] and later release a Japanese version of the single itself. 

The groups first release of the year, would be the 5 track EP [ Beautiful Shadow ]. The EP consisting of the following tracks: Bye my Monster (Title Track), Aphrodite, Breath Haze & Shadow, Chemical Type and Slave to the Rhythm. 

Bye my Monster would gain ONF their official second broadcasting music show win since their 2021 release [ Beautiful Beautiful ] making this achievement even more important to fans. It didn’t take long for Bye My Monster to debut at #1 on Download Chart.

In the previous article, we would talk about how stunning the group was during the first Gayo Daejon Summer Blue Carpet.  According to this post by Soompi, they stated that the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer would be hosted by the beloved hosts and artists NCT’s DoYoung, IVE An Yu Jin and TXT Yeonjun who are also known for being former music show ‘Inkigayo’ MC’s. Fans would later be treated to new stages, performances and photos of their favourite artists thanks to SBS.
