Monsta X and Monbebe’s (MONSTA X’s fanbase name) beloved singer songwriter, producer, model and painter would announce through the group’s official fancafe in an handwritten letter on March 13th 2023 that he would be quietly enlisting to serve his mandatory military service.
As the time got closer, Minhyuk would update fans with numerous photos ahead of his service before finally sharing the classic military shaved look to fans through his personal instagram on April 3rd 2023 just ahead of his enlistment. Although he would enlist privately, Minhyuk would enter the training centre the following day to complete basic military training and would later be deployed to the army as an active duty solider.
Since then original fan cam like footage, or footage showing Minhyuk throughout his time in the service would be shared, often smiling towards the cameras if he sees them or assuring everyone how he is doing.
Lee Min Hyuk would also be a familiar face upon the Official South Korean Army [ ROK ARMY ] Youtube Channel where different content, behind the scenes, skits and more would be shared with the public.
In one of the most recent videos posted on July 26th 2024, Monbebe’s couldn’t help but notice a familiar face in a promotional video for the band that Minhyuk is also known to take part in with the tag for the Paris 2024 Olympics causing many Monbebe’s to come to the video showing their on going support for the artist.
