Seventeen’s beloved song ‘Mansae’ receives gold streaming certification by RIAJ for surpassing 50 million streams in Japan

Seventeen (세븐틴) is a multi national, multi language and multi member group known for their self producing talents, song arranging, song writing and even taking part in various parts of the choreography and song production. Originally entering the entertainment and music scene by becoming trainees, the group’s training and formation would be shared through the show [ Seventeen TV ]. A show originally teasing the concept would be revealed in different short form content, ver 1 and ver 2 being released on December 23rd 2012, then the group would first introduce itself as the ‘largest idol boy group 17 member Seventeen!’ on December 27th, this is when a [ Special 17TV ] episodes would be released and would be one of the first official accounts of the members and the name being revealed to the public and general audience. 

As the members grew and their fanbase would come to be, the members would finally get their chance to debut on May 26th 2015 with their first mini album [ 17 Carat ] an album of which contained their debut song ‘Adore U’, and would be one of the first time the units would be introduced to fans; Hip Hop Team, Vocal Team and Performance Team. It wouldn’t be until a year after of which their concerts would be a success, that Seventeen would finally reveal their official fanclub name on February 14th 2016; Carats (캐럿), the group would later achieve numerous achievements, impressive comebacks and even various mixtapes, SoundCloud tracks and more would reveal the groups own personal music tastes and the music genres they enjoy. 

With the success of their debut album, Seventeen would release their 2nd mini album on September 10th 2015 that contained the following 5 tracks: Fronting, Mansae (Title Track), When I Grow Up, OMG and Rock. 

Since then Seventeen would surpass an impressive milestone for any artist, earning them a well deserved Gold Streaming Certification by RIAJ, as stated in this daum.net article by the article reporter Moon Wansik, he would state that RIAJ (The Recording Industry Association of Japan) awards the certification every month based on the cumulative number of plays (streaming) of a song. Gold means over 50 million plays. 

The reporter would go on to share that, “SEVENTEEN has a total of 12 streaming ‘Gold’ certified songs, including ‘Manse’, ‘Aju NICE’, ‘Don’t Wanna Cry’, ‘Pretty’, ‘Left & Right’, ‘Ready to love’, ‘Rock with you’, ‘HIT’, ‘Son Oh Gong’, ‘HOT’, ‘Dar+ling’, and ‘Applause’.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is expected to once again show off their status as the ‘best K-pop group’ through their 12th mini-album and world tour ‘SEVENTEEN [ RIGHT HERE ] WORLD TOUR’ in October. A dome tour and single album release are also planned in Japan, so a hot response from local fans is expected.

Ahead of this, Seventeen will meet European music fans as headliners at ‘Lolapalooza Berlin’ held at the Olympiastadion Berlin, Germany on September 8 (local time).”
