A Canadian Monbebe talks about her favourite group and more.

Originally becoming a fan of the group exactly six years ago there has been many ups and downs, eventually deleting my twitter and Instagram and stopping being an hardcore fan of many groups during this time and going through my self declared hardcore fan phase. Even if its a very positive time for many and filled of fun moments, I ended up taking a long hiatus from the industry but would do small check ins with the artist I like and checking out every comeback if it happened to be of my taste and even these days I tend to be supportive from afar. I think I would wear the ‘Monbebe’ title once again during the Era of Wonho coming back as an solo artist and having a really good debut that I ended up liking. (He debuted as a solo artist on the 7th of September).

Loving the accomplishments they have made along the way, and even more as they discover themselves with solo careers, solo debuts, solo campaigns and even unit debuts, I think MONSTA X is really an interesting group for many people for different reasons. But for many fans, I think (and at least to me), ‘grew up’ with MONSTA X during our highschool years, throughout this time as the group would be discovering their sound and because of this. Although there is many great releases, I will only be suggesting my favourite content, music stages, and more from the last two years! Without further ado, let’s begin!

1. Shownu – Too Sweet Cover (original by Hozier). 

Honestly I haven’t liked or listen to a lot of songs by Hozier, to be honest it took me more then one listen to get into it but I think Shownu covered it beautifully and its oddly a song that I think fits him very well. You sometimes see covers done by artists and it can be totally random, or just covering because its popular (which isn’t all bad!), but sometimes it just doesn’t fit the individual. 

2. LOVE.

A song I find myself in love with still to this day and a frequent listen on my workout playlist, the staging, set, and outfits are so beautifully picked and its hard to not want to sing or (attempt) to rap each part of the song. It fits the members so well as we (Monbebe’s) and the members mature. The members often take part in co writing/being the main individual to write their songs, even taking part in the production itself from arranging or leading the members in the recording booth. Monbebe’s love the work Joohoney did on this song, it was one of the first I listened to when getting back into the group.
