POLARIX announce official fandom name.

POLARIX (폴라릭스) is mainly a multi national group that consists of Chinese, Korean, Thai and Taiwanese members. Some members have a past as being a former member or solo idol, while others have survival show experience, influencers or auditioned to the show independently (without a company/ without a history of being a trainee or related experience). There were several episodes, challenges and more throughout the show before the final episode would air on December 28th 2024 where the group’s name and official members would be revealed. 

While the group would gear up for their official debut and their first official fanmeeting, official SNS (social media) accounts would be opened for Instagram, X (Twitter), TikTok, YouTube and Weibo in order to create content and promote the group while also updating fans about their whereabouts or latest news. 

To start the week, POLARIX would announce through their video [ Meeting Day Vlog, Hello POLARIX Luminix! ], the members would do a brief introduction of themselves before announcing and going over several fandom names and their meanings, as they would talk it out and thinking about what to choose would the members vote on each name. As the voting went on, a name at the 3:13 mark would be choosen as all the members would raise their hands regarding the fandom name: Luminix. 

According to different fans and various subbed videos of the groups video and even fan posts regarding the video, have translated the meaning of the official group name meaning: “A combination of words luminous (light) and polarix which means support of fans becomes the light of Polarix”.
