ENHYPEN Official / Kpopmap

Aminat is a ENGENE hailing from Nigeria. Eager to talk about her favorite group ENHYPEN, she dishes out about her favorite ENHYPEN tracks, the group’s influence in her life, and more! Read her interview below.

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hi, I’m Aminat, a 17-year old from Nigeria.

How and when did you enter the fandom?

It was back in 2022 through YouTube recommendations and I really liked their songs, so I decided to check them out. I found out that they came from a survival show. I then binge watched the show to see their journey. It was a gradual process, so I can’t tell exactly when I became an ENGENE but it was the October of last year that I realized I was an ENGENE.

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

To be very honest, there are a lot of reasons why I love them, but the main reasons why I love ENHYPEN, apart from the fact that they have a no skip discography (hehe), I also love that even as idols they have such humble, loving and caring personalities. I also love their willingness to grow as idols and their dedication towards their work and the overflowing love they have for we ENGENEs.

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Park SungHoon. It was his visual and his husky singing voice. You would think with such visuals, he would be arrogant, but no, Park SungHoon is the gentlest loveliest person ever.

Who is your bias, and why?

It was hard knowing who my bias was because I love all the members but Kim Sunoo is my bias. I love singing voice, his ability to hit any high note and also sing a song that is in a lower range. I love the way he dances so fluidly and also incorporates his own style into the dance. I also relate well with him in terms of reading.

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

For the title track I’d recommend ‘Bite me’ from their latest album “Dark Blood.”

And for the B-side, I’d like to recommend ‘Sacrifice (Eat Me Up)’ from the same album.

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias to our readers?

This fancam. The song is an OST for their webtoon “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar”

Can you also recommend a content video (variety series, song cover, dance cover, etc.) by your favorite group?

“EN O’CLOCK.” It’s their own variety show. It is very fun and shows how the members are outside being an idol.

Can you share with us one of your favorite lyrics?

“I make you
You make me
็ฌ‘้ก”ใ‚‚ๆถ™ใ‚‚ๅ…ฑใซ
I make you
You make me
ๆญฉใๅ‡บใใ† ๅ›ใจไบŒไบบใง.”
These lyrics also a representation of their love for their fans that’s why it’s my favorite. It from their japanese single ‘YOU’.

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

Yes this:A Nigerian ENGENE Talks About Her Favorite Group ENHYPEN And Her Bias Sunoo

What is your favorite group/bias’ influence on your daily life?

I met ENHYPEN at a very bad phase in my life, so I’m grateful for encountering such seven wonderful people because they make me want to be a better version of myself and they also make me happy.

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

Yes, a lot of people think the members are not close and don’t treat each other well, but I will like to correct that misunderstanding. I haven’t been a fan since day 1 but I can really tell that the members mean a lot to one another. It’s been just 3 years since their debut, but they are so close they can be considered brothers. I would like to let people know that ENHYPEN members love each other like family.

Describe them in 5 words.
