A STAY From Manila Talks About Stray Kids And Her Bias Felix

Jamie is a proud STAY from Manila since 2020. Find out more about her and how she joined the fandom as she talks about Stray Kids (SKZ) and her bias Felix.

 

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I became a STAY when I was watching ‘Slump’ by SKZ in “The First Take” YouTube channel because I listen to Japanese songs a lot, and that channel helped me discover more Japanese songs. I started actually liking SKZ some time in November of 2020.

 

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

The main reason is because of their music, it just hypes you up and of course there are songs where the lyrics are inspirational and meaningful. They’re just really talented and their humor really made me happy.

 

Who caught your attention at first and why?

Felix caught my attention first because he sang first in ‘Slump’. I was expecting him to have a low register because when they we’re introducing themselves his voice was already low.

 

Who is your bias, and why?

My main bias is Felix. Because I really like how his vocal range is flexible, I like his bubbly personality and his overall aura off and on stage.

 

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

I would recommend God’s Menu, All in and Levanter and for the B-side I recommend Charmer, questions, silent cry, lonely st., and Blueprint for them to get a summary of what skz’s music is like.

 

Can you also recommend a content video by your favorite group?

I recommend, “Finding SKZ – God Edition”

What is your favorite group influence on your daily life?

They bring me constant happiness. Not just their music, but their personality and content makes me happy there is no day where I think of them and have negative feelings towards them. They always make me feel happy.

 

If you go to only one, would you go to a concert, fan meeting, or fan sign?

Hmmm. I would go to a concert.

 

What is your favorite side of being a fan?

Meeting people who also favors SKZ, and actually making a connection with them. That’s what I love about being a fan, making new friends.

 

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

Non-fans believe that SKZ doesn’t make their own music, but they do in fact create their own music. 3racha, consisting of Bang Chan, ChangBin, and Han, produces and writes for Stray Kids. Even the other members can write and produce their own music, which can be seen in their “SKZ-player.” Additionally, Lee Know, HyunJin, and Felix also helps with choreography.

 

What type of concept do you prefer: cute, dark, sexy, etc?

I prefer their malatang, sexy concepts over their cute ones, although they are versatile with their concepts and they are not limited to only one.

 

What is your best souvenir with your favorite group until now?

When I watched their concert here in Manila, that was wild. They said that they were happy because they can see us enjoying and dancing with them, which almost made me cry. And during that time, Han was kinda sick, and when they were saying their message,s he said he feels okay already because of all the energy from the crowd.

 

Can you describe your bias in only one word?

Sunshine.

 

For me, my bias is … 

For me, my bias is a friend. Like if we knew each other (personally), I feel like he would be one of my best friends, and we would bake brownies together, and go on cat cafes, and take cute photos.

What is a random fact that you think people don’t know about them?

Felix can beat box and can imitate the sound of a mosquito.

If you could spend the day with them, what would you want to do together?

BAKE COOKIES AND BROWNIES!!

 

Can you recall a moment where you cried/laughed with your bias?

When they had a concert in South Korea and he started crying when he wax saying his farewell, then everyone on Twitter was posting it and I started crying too 😭

 

Name 1 quality in your bias that you wish you had.

His dancing skills.

 

Is there some food you saw your bias group eat that made you crave it too?

Beef Wellington made by Lee Know 😩.

 

If your bias group were to collab with another idol or group, who do you think would be best?

ATEEZ!! They have the same music style and they’re BFFs, plus I need to see more SeongHwa and Lee Know interactions, as well as ChangBin and WooYoung.

 

What is your biggest dream for your favorite group/bias aside from being happy and healthy?

I wish for them to be number 1 on Billboard worldwide.

 

Is there particular information that you want to say to new fans because they mostly don’t know about it?

I feel like new fans don’t know how much SKZ treats each other like brothers rather than co-workers.

 

Do you have a dream subunit/unit?

SeungMin and I.N with WonPil and Young K of DAY6 🥺.

 

If you have a chance to cook for the group, what will you cook for them?

ADOBO!!! PORK SISIG!!!

 

If you can spend a day with your bias, where will you go and what will you do?

The beach because they deserve a vacation right now.

Talented, bright, comforting.

 

What about your bias do you relate to the most?

We always hug people we are close to. We’re both clingy people.

 

What is one thing that you think is unique about your bias/bias group?

His voice! I know it’s such a known thing now but Felix’s voice isn’t only just low, he can also sing falsetto pretty well too. His range is flexible and I will stand by that.

I know it isn’t a selfie but GOSH I LOVE HIS SMILE IN THIS LIVE AND THE FRECKLES OFC AND JUST EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PHOTO IS JUST 😊 I just love his smile it radiates so much joy.

 

What is your favourite way of communicating with your bias?

I don’t really go to meet and greets. I just like watching their lives and listening to their music so I guess, that’s my favourite way of communicating with my bias.

 

What do you have in common with your favourite idol?

Hmmm we’re both clingy people, we like animals, eat a lot, get really hyper on anything sweet, hmmm and we’re both Virgo signs.

 

Is your bias different while performing and in real life? What is your reaction to the difference (if there’s any)?

Of course, Felix is very scary but in a good way because it goes well with their concept, but he’s bubbly cute and a sunshine in real life. I guess, same goes with every SKZ member.

 

What is a random fact that you think people don’t know about them?

Chan has great handwriting hence the SKZ logo, yes, he wrote that. ChangBin is very rich. Lee Know can balance a Q-tip with his long lashes, and is ambidextrous. HyunJin paints a lot. Han is an ALL-ROUNDER. Felix can beatbox. SeungMin was a baseball player. I.N can scream like a dolphin.

 

Have you ever made a new friend because of K-Pop?

YES!! And I hold them close to my heart 🥺.

SKZ is so cool.1 Their music is amazing and inspiring. Their bond as a team is so genuine. They’re really thankful for every single STAY, and they just give their best because they know that their talented and skilled and they want to show that to the world, and as a fan I am so proud of them and how they’ve become.
