All to know about ‘The Seasons’, the new host, episodes and more

Originally posted back in April 28th 2024 by the writer Lee Gyu-Lee at the Korea Times, the reporter would write their accounts of the press conference that the popular broad casting company KBS would hold with the managing director Kim Dongyoon. During this conference, shows such as [ Make Mate 1 ], [ Dare to love me ] (Rom Com Series) and more would be announced, while previous popular and beloved shows such as [ The Seasons ] would announce a new host and popular artist; Zico for its new season after previously having Lee Hyori hosted. 

Since being an underground rapper by the name Nagseo (낙서) to debuting as the main rapper and leader of BlockB, the artist has accomplished many things over the years. From viral to viral releases, being seen as the creator of dance challenges in the K-Pop industry, modelling campaigns (like FENDI, Nongshim, Cosmopolitan for example), producer and song writer credits for multiple songs, and the CEO and seemingly as the creator of the popular band [ BoyNextDoor ], numerous awards and festival attendances.

Although he would only open his official and solo Youtube Account back in 2019 where numerous videos would be released, behind the scenes, TMI, Day in the life Vlog, Recording, Mino x Zico Last Vlog of 2019, 100K Subscriber PlayButton Unboxing and  Naver Now Episode with BlockB members and more. Zico would since achieve an impressive milestone ‘1 million subscribers’ and later hit 5 million over on Instagram.

It’s easy to understand that if KBS wanted to attract younger viewers why Zico has been chosen as the new host for its new season. 

Since teasing the idea for the new season in a short video back in April, fans would show international and domestic support for the show itself. Introducing some artists to the audience for the first time and attracting new attention, paired with live performances, funny talk show like moments, and more. 

While some rookies like JD1, Kiss of Life, BoyNextDoor, ZeroBaseOne, TWS would introduce themselves to the audiences for the first time and express their love for being on stage during the episodes. Popular bands and artists such as Onewe, (G)I-DLE, Lee YoungJi, N.Flying, K.Will, KWON EUNBI, Crush, Chen, SUNMI, Suho, BADA and Yook Sunjae would perform either their latest releases or popular songs.
