Artist Spotlight Series: ANTARES

ANTARES Official

Within this article, we will consider a new original content series for Kpopmap Readers with a goal of promoting newly debuted groups or groups not often mentioned by fans of the K-Industry.

We will answer the following main topics or commonly asked questions when you first find a group such as but not limited to: “Who are the members?”, “What are their positions?”, “They used to go by a different name in the past. Did they undergo member lineup changes or debuted before?”, or “What’s their fandom name or discography and social media achievements so far?”

This series will also include groups, idols or artists generally within the K-Industry, not often known by international fans or have smaller fan bases. These articles are often written after some research, with the hopes of promoting artists to new fans despite their concept or music genre (without prejudice or bias).

To begin, we will start this series off with the group ANTARES.

ANTARES (안타레스) is a South Korean boy group underneath J-Star Entertainment and was later formed on November 14, 2019 with 7 members, despite going through various member lineup changes. The group would be known as Limit shortly before disbanding. Members SeungHee and SukJun would later re debut in ABLUE together in 2022 before ANTARES was announced. To follow Antares future activities you can do so here (or see the images below): ANTARES Twitter Official and ANTARES Instagram Official. The group’s most recent release on the companies official channel is ‘Bite’ Performance Trailer.

The group’s staff would take to Twitter to announce the group’s official fandom name on May 13, 2023. From then on, fans will be referred to as “MILKYWAYs.”
