Earlier this month fans would be updated with an announcement on the global artist platform ‘WeVerse’, where the agency (Pledis Entertainment) would announce that the artist and his exclusive contract would come to an end and that the artist and agency would mutually agree to end the contract. Within this statement, the agency would thank the artist for working alongside them and being a member in both NU’EST and in their sub unit NU’EST W which included other members of the group.
Throughout their career, they would become a well respected group within the industry. Even gaining different wins for their fan loved songs; Where you At, Dejavu, Bet Bet, Love Me, I’m in Trouble and Inside Out. Throughout their careers, the members would also grow on their own, JR would focus on acting, Minhyun would focus on his musical theatre/ actor work, Aron (Jihyun) would host podcasts and focus on variety/television shows, Ren (Minki) would make his solo debut while Baekho would focus on various activities, producing/composing, performing at the popular WaterBomb festival, modelling, releasing music and more. He is also known for his solo works such as (but not limited to): Elevator, Nutty Nutty, Wet & Wild, What are we, Love or Die, No Rules, Good Bye Days (OST), Savior (OST), All Because I Love you, Love Burn and more.
Also within the announcement/statement by Pledis Entertainment, would be one of the first announcements regarding the release of an upcoming digital single by Baekho for March 14th 6pm KST (Korean Standard Time), this single would be his latest since 2024 where he released Nutty Nutty (feat. Jessie), Wet & Wild (Water Bomb Official Theme), and his beloved EP ‘Love or Die’.
