BTS member Jimin will release his sophomore solo album “Muse” on Friday, July 19.
“Muse” arrives a year and four months after Jimin’s debut solo album “Face” released in March 2023.
The upcoming release documents Jimin’s journey “in search of the source of his inspiration,” according to BigHit Music.
The album is seven tracks long, including the pre-release track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” featuring Loco, the lead track “Who,” “Rebirth (Intro),” “Interlude: Showtime,” “Slow Dance” featuring Sofia Carson, “Be Mine” and “Closer Than This,” a fan song released in December.
On June 28, Jimin unveiled the official track video of “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco).” The song was composed by Tommy Brown, Mr. Franks, Pdogg, and GHSTLOOP.
The track video features a fairytale-like set—singing and dancing alongside a group of kids, and dancers, and later joined by Loco in the video.
The track video has garnered 16 million views on YouTube as of writing.
“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” is the group name of Jimin and his team of producers—Pdogg, Ghstloop, and Evan—whom he had collaborated with for his first solo album “Face.” The song’s title was first mentioned in the documentary “Jimin’s Production Diary” released in October 2023.
A week before the album release, Jimin released the highlight medley for “Muse” on BTS’s social media pages.
Aside from “Muse,” Jimin and Jungkook will star in a new travel series titled “Are You Sure?!” set to premiere on Disney+ on Aug. 8. New episodes will be released every Thursday through Sept. 19.
The show was filmed before the pair enlisted in the military for mandatory military service in December 2023.
BTS is expected to reconvene as a seven-member group by 2025.
