Pre-debut Life: A Born Dancer

Anpan has been dancing since she was extremely young. She’s loved dancing since the age of 7. Later, she fell in love with K-Pop and dreamt of becoming a K-Pop idol or T-Pop (Thai pop) artist.

Anpan even had a YouTube channel where she used to upload her K-Pop dance covers. She has covered dances for artists like BLACKPINK, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, and Jessi. These are not your average dance covers, though. They have high production value and truly show off her impressive dance skills. You can check out the channel here.

Life as an Idol Trainee Gearing Up To Debut

Anpan started training with ChoCo Entertainment in 2022.

When it comes to dancing, no one is more in touch with the rhythm than Anpan. Despite being a trainee, she has some of the cleanest dance lines and the best groove. Some of her dance techniques include complicated techniques like popping. We can only imagine that her dance skills will take her to a legendary level later on in her career.

Additionally, her hobby and one of her other skills is drumming. Hopefully, we’ll be able to see this skill shown through her activities after she debuts.

We’ve yet to see her rapping skills, but there’s no doubt that they’ll be up to par with her other talents which are already extraordinary.

On top of that, Anpan has already set herself up to be an excellent leader for ChoCo2. Firstly, her leadership potential is innate because it’s already in line with her MBTI personality, ESTJ. This is the personality type of people who can offer solid direction amidst adversity – which is an essential skill when it comes to leadership. Her ambition and drive to do well from a young age already prove that, despite still being young, she’s going to make an excellent leader for her group.

TMI Interview: Get To Know More About ChoCo’s Anpan

Kpopmap had the pleasure of getting in touch with Anpan to get to know some TMI facts about her. We talked about her aspirations as a K-Pop idol, her favorite Korean word, and more.

If you could do a dance challenge with any K-Pop artist, who would it be?

The singer I would like to do a challenge with the most is Lisa (from BLACKPINK). Since Lisa was the one who introduced me to the existence of K-Pop, I would be happy to have the opportunity to dance with her. If it’s someone else, it’s Jackson (from GOT7). Jackson is good at singing and dancing, and if I got to dance with him, my mother would really love it because she’s a fan.

Interestingly, Anpan’s K-Pop role model is also BLACKPINK’s Lisa. In fact, Anpan went viral for her cover dance of Lisa’s debut title track ‘LALISA’. The YouTube video has over 1.9 million views (as of May 3, 2023).

Is there a hair color that youโ€™d like to try in the future?

Right now, there are two hairstyles that I want to try. The first one is a rainbow-colored hairstyle because it has a bright and cheerful vibe. The second one is navy blue because I personally like navy blue and I think it’s an attractive color.

What is your favorite Korean word that youโ€™ve learned so far?

My favorite Korean phrase among the words I have learned so far is “๋„Œ ํ•  ์ˆ˜ ์žˆ์–ด!” (“Neon hal su isseo!” in romanized Korean), which means, “You can do it!” When I hear these words, I become motivated and energized. I believe that these words will serve as a driving force for me to practice hard until I become an idol. I received a lot of strength from the praise, “You did well,” that I heard in the last monthly evaluation.

As a newly-debuted idol, what are the words you want to hear the most from fans about your performance?

If I were to debut, I would like to hear my fans say that I sing well. This is because the vocal aspect is currently my biggest concern, so I would be the happiest to hear that I have improved in this area.

Chocolate vs. Strawberry. If you could only eat one of these dessert flavors for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?

I would choose chocolate over strawberry. The reason is that I love ChoCo Entertainment so much – I’m just kidding. In all seriousness, eating chocolate makes me feel good and helps me come up with various ideas for content and other things.

There’s no doubt that Anpan was born to be a star and is overflowing with star potential. We’re excited to see what she’ll achieve over the course of her career.
