From posting videos of himself dancing and bboying on his YouTube Channel that he would create back in 2008 to becoming a K-Pop trainee and eventually debuting as the leader, main rapper and main dancer in the 6 member South Korean Boy Group C-Clown (Crown Clown), they would debut in 2012 with the mini album ‘Not Alone’, they would go on to release the EP ‘Shaking Heart’ in 2013 before releasing their last single ‘Tell Me’ in 2014 before sadly disbanding in 2015. For Christian, he would go on to explore his interests in music genres, visual creatives and even editing. Doing for for various artists like iKON’s Bobby, Winner’s Mino, BigBang Taeyang, IU and others. Using these said talents, he would eventually become the founder, director and chief editor of DPR. Even scoring a sponorship/ad with Adobe back in 2020.
Since then, he has become a well beloved artist and video director for many fans across the globe, for many becoming a mental health support in tough times, showcasing what he goes through and being honest with fans about his struggles in interviews with Zach Sang and others as he would expand his musical universe in his songs like ‘No Blueberries’, ‘Nerves‘, ‘Scaredy Cat’, ‘So Beautiful’, ‘Peanut Butter & Tears’ and many more.
The song in question, ‘Don’t Go Insane’ would go viral not to long after its release with multiple idols, groups, artists and dancers covering the song with their own creative tastes and ideas. Mulitple idols within the K-Pop industry would even showcase their love for DPR Ian’s songs to fans in their live streams or cover it Even going viral on Tik Tok through dance challenges or Tik Tok/Short Video content creators and editors using the song as ‘audio’ within their videos, thus promoting the song to more and more fans or even a different audience.
