During military, Hyuk releases the mv ‘Home’ for Starlights

2024 has been a tough year for many K-Pop fans from numerous competition surivial shows such as Build Up, Boys Planet and I-Land 2, this year has also been filled with different military enlistments and departures for fans. While some experience it for the first time, many experienced fans go through it depending on who they follow throughout the year. Often times when the youngest member of the group has to enlist is an incredibly hard time for some to adapt to the situation and who they can support during this time if this individual is there bias. 

Vixx’s fanbase has experienced military enlistments some of the members such as Ken officially completing his mandatory military service back in 2022, while Leo completed his mandatory military service back in 2021. 

The Youngest (Maknae), Vocalist and Main Dancer of VIXX is Han Sang Hyuk. His company Companion Company would announce that he will be enlisting in the recruit training centre on April 18th 2024. As previously reported by various sites such as Soompi, Pink Villa, Hyuk would follow through with his service after completing his basic training as a public service worker. He would also be the final member of the group to enlist, you can view his heartfelt letter to his fans here.  

To fans, Hyuk is known for his exceptional dancing skills and vocal talents. Shown through numerous works as a music and film maker, music producer and main director of Ad.A (Per Ardua Ad Astra), and for fan beloved songs ‘Camellia’, ‘Stay for Me’, ‘Boy with a Star’, ‘way to you’, ‘Winter Butterfly’, ‘A long night’, ‘You, me and Dream’, ‘around thirty’ to name a few. 

While Hyuk completes his service as a public service worker, Hyuk previously shared a teaser for his new song ‘Home’ which is set to drop on July 5th. The message and idea of the song itself being a sweet reminder and comforting message to fans during his enlistment.

Regarding updates for the group in general for those who have never heard of VIXX or are just getting into their music, the group originally debuted as six members back in May 24th of 2021 with the single album ‘Super Hero’ before later being recognized as concept idols. Beloved for their songs and performances like ‘Error’, ‘Chained Up’, ‘Shangri-La’, ‘Voodoo Doll’, ‘Scentist’, ‘Eternity’ and most notably ‘Fantasy’ and ‘On and On’. 

Currently acting as four members, VIXX would take breaks as artists as most of the members would enlist into mandatory military service in South Korea with their last release being [ Parallel ] single which also consisted as a Japanese version before various members would officially be discharged. Gifting fans with the single, ‘Gonna be Alright’ before releasing their first 5 track EP in a while entitled [ CONTINUUM ] back in 2023. 

Apart from releases, VIXX has Not only would the group achieve an impressive accomplishment of their 12th anniversary where fans would celebrate with numerous gifts and letters sent to the members but the members currently not enlisted; Leo, N and Ken would take part of various promotion and their 6th fan meeting [ Starlight Ballroom ] as well as continuing the beloved content series [ VIXX TV Season 3 ]. Leo, N and Ken has took part in different activities, acting and musicals throughout this time.
