Everything to know about Jung Soomin since his debut

In our first article about the artist [ Everything to Know About the Korean American Singer JUNGSOOMNI and his First Debut EP “Phasis” ] we originally discussed and viewed the contents of the artists new SNS (Social Media) profiles such as SoundCloud, Tik Tok, Twitter (X), Instagram and YouTube. We also talked about the artists first show appearances in [ Stars Awakening ] underneath the Singer Songwriter Category and [ LOUD ]. 

Since then, Jung Soomin has seen an impressive amount of support since 640 subscribers and would see an incredible change of support since appearing on Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survivor. This was a vocal focused survival show broadcasted and hosted by MNET, where the show aired every Friday until March 29th 2024 where the final four members would debut with a 2 year contract.  

Before the show would start, the contestants taking place would release silhouette teasers and would only showcase their vocal talents and would share their vocal categories with fans, the categories were: Orange (All Round Voice), Green (Unique Voice), Purple (Power Voice) and Blue (Soul Voice). In his teaser, Jung Soomin was revealed to be V30 and ‘Soul Voice’ in his choice of cover ‘Can’t Take my Eyes Off You’ (Originally by Frankie Vallie). 

Throughout the show he would gain recognition for his talents as a singer songwriter through songs and performances like Ditto and would make headlines with popular performances with his team MILKY-UP like ‘Uptown Funk’ and ‘Joker’.  The artist would make fans laugh with his heart warming interactions with other contestants throughout the episodes. 

Although he would sadly be eliminated in episode 9, the impact he made on the audience would be clear as an massive amount of support can be seen through his various social media pages and the incredible view count changes to his postings.

The Chicago born singer would continue to surprise fans with activities and various forms of promotions, from performing his songs on Arirang Radio to fan edited and fan clipped interactions with Jay Chang would go viral on platforms such as Tik Tok and YouTube, one of these videos even gaining 13K views. Most recently, fans would be overjoyed when the singer would share he will be performing his songs and other popular hits at the 2024 Palette music festival where he would perform on Sunday after his most recent release, ‘Be like you’ which contained both an English Version and Korean Version of the track. 

While building up a strong foundation to his fanbase paired with an on growing artist resume, intrigued readers are prompted to check out his performances, songs and radio show attendances as he begins his career as an artist.
