Fans celebrate Yongguk’s birthday with a commemoration event alongside BAP members.

Since completing his military service in 2021 and slowly entering back into the music scene with the announcement of his own agency [ CONSENT ] it wouldn’t be long before he would announce that BANG YONG GUK will be the first artist to sign with the (then) startup agency YY Entertainment a day before his birthday in 2023. 

Recently in 2023, the artist himself would proudly and successfully complete his 23 city tour for [ THE COLORS of BANG ] where he would promote tracks, EP’s and album’s from his discography from (but not limited to): his self entitled [ BANGYONGGUK ] EP, 2 EP (2022 release) that contained the pre release title ‘RACE’ and [ THE COLORS of LOVE ] 6 track EP. 

After various promotions and time off to focus on himself as well as rest, it didn’t take long for BANG to tease the idea of new music over on his Instagram [ bangstergram ] on February 19th with the tease and single comment, ‘3’. Not very long after on February 28th, MyMusicTaste, YY Entertainment and Bang Yongguk would announce his US focused tour for 2024 ahead of the release of ‘3’. 

The EP [ 3 ] is an album that not only was released on BANG’s birthday, but also contains the elements of Pop, Rap, Hip Hop and Rock. While Bang Yongguk is listed within both the co composer and co writers, arrangers next to CELOTRON, COE, COUP D’ETATE’, K.O and more. The EP contains 6 explicit and clean tracks from BANG: MOVIMIENTO (Title Track), BAD (feat. YOUHA), IXLU (Explicit), NUMB, BUSS IT DOWN (Explicit) and IXLU (Clean VER). 

Due to the occurrence of the album release being on the same day of BANG YONGGUK’s birthday, YY Entertainment during the album listening session in Korea with a special appearance of ‘feat. Special Guests’. After the official release of the listening session on SNS by YY Entertainment, fans alike couldn’t help but be delighted to see 2 of the BAP members (also both signed to MA Entertainment) Moon Jongup and Jung Daehyun!. The members themselves causing laughs within the crowd due to cutely failing a heart request. 

The pre listening album session would last up to an hour and a half, previewing the official videos (BAD and MOVIMIENTO), Bang Yongguk asking previously shared questions, reading notes on the ‘To. Yongguk’ board that was physically provided at the venue, enjoying a cake to celebrate and commemorate BANG’s 34th birthday as well as having Jongup and Daehyun talk with press and fans at the venue itself leaving valuable memories for all involved.
