How ONEUS’ KeonHee From “Produce 101” Is Doing These Days

The second edition of the survival program “Produce 101” revealed several stars for the K-Pop industry. Among them, KeonHee (Lee KeonHee), member of the boygroup ONEUS who occupies the position of main vocalist.

Since it’s his birthday (06/27), let’s do a short and fun recap of his career, from “Produce 101” to the current era of his group’s most recent mini-album: “PYGMALION”!

 

“Produce 101”

KeonHee participated in “Produce 101” in 2017 and, since the show, he has shown himself to be this positive and energetic person that we know today. We’re sure you’ve seen this moment below somewhere. Yes, Lee KeonHee is the star of this iconic meme!

But his time on the reality show was not limited to cute and funny moments, but he also stood out and showed a lot of talent. KeonHee’s powerful vocals and charisma were observed throughout the program, you can check it out on the stages of ‘누나 너무 예뻐 (Replay)’, ‘Oh Little Girl’ and ‘Amazing Kiss’, where he won first place overall in the vocal competition in one of the phases in which he was the team leader and also the center of the performance!

KeonHee reached the final ranking 33 in the competition and bid farewell to “Produce 101,” but his career was just beginning, and the time had come to reap the rewards of his efforts.

 

“I Shall Debut”

Still in 2017 and back at RBW, KeonHee participated in “I Shall Debut” which, as the name already suggests, was a series of videos that showed the life of the trainees “RBW BOYZ”, their daily life, activities in short vlogs and even some dance performances or covers. From this content, now in reality format, we were able to get to know more deeply the trainees who would officially become the members of ONEUS.

In 2018, in the second season of the reality show, the unit combining ONEWE and ONEUS, WeUs, released the single ‘Last Song’, a song that marked the end of the pre-debut era of ONEUS, which was now ready to debut.

On January 9, 2019, KeonHee officially debuted as a member of the group ONEUS with the title ‘Valkyrie’.

KeonHee won the position of main vocal of ONEUS together with SeoHo and, since then, he has shown stable vocals that have been improving every year. KeonHee also recorded many covers, mostly heart warming ballads, and showed many of his colors. His most recent cover was ‘Where Were You In The Morning?’ by Shawn Mendes.

 

First Win

In November of 2021, ONEUS released their sixth mini-album “Blood Moon” with the title track ‘LUNA’, which was the group’s first win on a music show!

“Blood Moon” was definitely an era full of emotions, but it was the 6th mini album, “MALUS”, with title track ‘Same Scent’ that KeonHee was happy to receive not just one, but FOUR wins along with the members!

 

“This is Mukbang”

Besides having great vocals, KeonHee is also known for being popular and having the personality of a social butterfly (His MBTI is ENFP). The idol has participated in some dynamic programs and has even been an MC for IDOL Radio along with ONEUS member LeeDo. Above all, because of his influence and love of food, KeonHee went viral several times talking about gastronomy and his recipe for “KeonHee Sauce” became so famous that it made it into HaiDiLao’s official sauce menu. And, because everyone loves hearing KeonHee talk about food, in 2022 he got his own Mukbang show on THE K-POP YouTube channel, “This is Mukbang”!

The show is available on The K-POP’s YouTube channel and features 8 episodes, multiple guests, different settings and delicious food recommended by the official RBW food expert!

 

World Tour

Between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023, ONEUS embarked on their first world tour, passing not only through Korea, Japan and the United States, but also going to South America for the first time! KeonHee, who had been studying and further developing his English, connected with fans around the world and amazed everyone with his live vocals and stage presence. The tour ended in February with its last concert in Brazil, and ONEUS returned to Korea more mature and ready for their next comeback.

 

“ONEUS 쉼House”

After the world tour, ONEUS needed a break before another comeback, and in “ONEUS 쉼 House,” the fandom was able to get even closer to KeonHee and meet a more
mature version of him. In this reality show, which shows the members’ day-to-day living in a nursing home, KeonHee demonstrates a more serene version of himself, as well as being very affectionate, careful, sensitive and sincere. After many years since debut, many experiences in and out of Korea, today’s KeonHee is a trusted adult who plays an important role for the members and fans alike.

 

“PYGMALION”

On May 8th, ONEUS finally made their comeback with their 7th mini album “PYGMALION” after an 8 month hiatus. KeonHee wowed the fandom with her mature visuals
and incredible vocals on lead track ‘Erase Me’.

KeonHee, who had intense eyes, added a sophisticated charm by dotting with various accessories.
