Kim Woojin officially enlists in the military!

After experiencing different hardships with his career and eventually leaving his former agency, Kim Woojin would take some time before eventually open up solo social media accounts where he would keep his fans up to date about his whereabouts, teasing the possible idea of more content such as vlogs and more. 

Throughout this time Kim Woojin would slowly but surely begin to establish his own fanbase along the way through series of livestreams either on Instagram and Youtube. The livestreams themselves providing a lot of comfort to fans in unsure times before he would begin to tease the idea of an upcoming short series [ wooALog ]. The series would share his current MTBI, Motto, favourite restaurants (and asking for requests) and much more. It wouldn’t be long before the artist would release behind the scenes and new profile pictures to start off the 2021 new year. 

Kim Woojin would go on to release many fan beloved covers (while some would discover the artist for the first time), he would experience many new things as a pre debut solo artist, achieving 100 days with CUBS and even achieving an impressive milestone of 100K followers on Youtube and unboxing the silver play button. Seemingly in perfect timing as he would release his first pre debut single ‘Still Dream’ on July 8th KST (Korean Standard Time). 

He would become known to fans (CUBS) for his heart warming songs, refreshing vocals, bear like charms and fan beloved songs (and my personal favourites); Purple Sky, Ready Now, My Growing Pains, In My Space, Say Something To Me, On My Way, What U Say, I Like The Way, CAMELLIA and To my Friend. 

Before its release, Kim Woojins agency (Kustom Made, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment) would tease the idea of a special release single alongside the announcement of Kim Woojin’s military enlistment. The special single would announce the name, ‘5am’ to its SNS platforms before an official visualizer would be released on January 17th with an hand drawn artist progress of drawing Kim Woojin. Throughout the video, the artist would switch in between different colours and drawings, making a realistic drawing of Kim Woojin. 

He is set to make his enlistment today (January 20th, 2025), according to reports (here, here, here), Kim Woojin will enlist in the new recruit training unit where he will fulfill his national defence duty in the army band.
