So at Kpopmap, we started the Kpopmap Fan Interview Project to get to know more about K-Pop fans from different countries: more about their K-Pop life and tastes and to give them the opportunity to share with our readers about their favorite group(s) and bias.

 

Lyka is the next fan to answer our questions. She is from the Philippines and is a fan of TREASURE, and particularly of JunKyu. Check out how she entered the fandom, the songs and content she advises to new fans, and much more!

 

Can you introduce yourself? Where are you from?

Hello, my name is Lyka Serrano, and I live in the Philippines.

 

How and when did you enter the fandom?

I’ve only been a fan of TREASURE for 3 months but I can only say one thing- they are so much fun. I became their fan because while I was scrolling through my TikTok, there was a song that actually really caught my attention and it was their song ‘DARARI’.

 

What are the reasons why you love your favorite group?

I love them because when I have a problem, they are the ones who could comfort me, even though they don’t know me. They make me feel better when I listen to their songs or watch the “TREASURE MAP”.

 

Who caught your attention at first and why?

The first I really saw was JunKyu, he’s so cute and that’s when I started falling in love with him, but the truth is I love them all hehe.

 

Who is your bias, and why?

My bias is none other than Kim JunKyu. I love him so much. I don’t know, but he’s the one who got my attention among all the members of TREASURE because maybe I am taken by the beauty of his voice every time I hear his voice. I seem to calm down immediately, because of him. I feel freed from my problems.

 

Can you recommend a title track and a B-side track for new fans?

I recommend their song “MMM” for the title track, and for B-side track is their song “DARARI”.

 

Can you recommend a fancam, V Live, cover video, cover dance, or individual content video of your bias group to our readers?

I highly recommend to everyone reading to watch “TREASURE MAP” on their YouTube channel. For sure, you guys will be happy with them and you can rewatch it when you have problems.

Are there any words from the members you would like to share?

My favorite line, or rather, the iconic line is “Oh my eyes” from Kim JunKyu in “TREASURE MAP” Episode 48.

 

Do you feel there are any misunderstandings, things that are not well known, or any prejudices about your favorite group from other fans (non-fans)?

I recommend to the TREASURE that they don’t pay attention to the bashers, because when they pay attention, the bashers will pay more attention. They just lack attention. ^—^
