Monsta X and several artists accounts recovered

As previously reported through different articles like CISO.in, Korea Joong Ang Daily and more would report on the massive attack seemingly targeting StarShip Entertainment artists. The hack included rebranding the main channel name to ‘SpaceX’, the channel itself linking to the livestream at the time about SpaceX, while several videos deleted, or partly hidden from fans. 

Although it is currently uncertain why the attack on StarShip Entertainment happened and brought up many questions about proper internet security, passwords and sharing accounts through a single email address, it also brought up anger and confusion to fans when some channels would even unsubscribe from the channels itself when the action wasn’t even done by the individual.

This incident occurred on March 4th 2024 before the agency was left scrambling about why such a hack happened, even more so fans of CRAVITY calling for concern due to the groups newest comeback announcement of ‘Love or Die’ and the video surrounding it seemingly removed and unable to be found by fans before an official statement by StarShip Entertainment would finally be sent out to fans. 

Although it would seem the hacker wouldn’t be able to gain access to some of the channels such as the artist Jeong Sewoon, K.Will and WJSN during this time, fans were still worried about the possibilities and any further actions. 

As of March 9th 2024, it is clear that StarShip Entertainment has already made positive impact towards the restoration and obtaining the account’s loss, including successfully recovering Cravity’s ‘Love or Die’ Official MV, including changing the official names on the accounts back to their original. 

Recently groups and artists of StarShip Entertainment has been active in different promotions, such as CRAVITY Announcing their ‘LUVITY Games’ as well as achieving their 1st major broadcast win with ‘Love or Die’, while MONSTA X are currently holding separate activities as solos, such as I.M promoting as a artist underneath Sony Music Korea, while the members Hyungwon and Shownu are currently promoting as a unit while awaiting the others to arrive from military. Kihyun would recently be mentioned by the Defense Daily regarding the military band training.
