Monsta X I.M and Shownu celebrate the groups 9th anniversary with fans

Although there are various topics to bring up into conversation music always seems to be one of those conversations that are often beloved by such a global audience due to the variety of topics and dynamics it allows us to dig deeper into and learn about new artists in general. Such a conversation leads us to fascination about how each individual perceives music and what we personally believe should be celebrated when it comes to milestones an artist we follow is able to accomplish in various ways.  

When researching about K-Pop and its history and learning about the original artists who really kicked off the K-Pop scene like god, H.O.T, Seo Taiji and the boys, TVXQ, Big Bang, SHINEE, Psy, 2NE1, Baby VOX, SNSD, 9Muses, t-ara, Ladies Code, Super Junior, Fin.K.L, Sechkies, SHINHWA, NU’EST, Se7en, Beast (highlight), BTOB, Day6, 2pm to respectively name a few, there has always been re occurring milestones fans look forward to celebrate their first 100 and 1000 days, first broadcast station music show win, their first official light stick, first on domestic charts and year anniversaries and many more. 

Since debuting originally as seven members back in 2015 on May 14th, Monsta X would make their name a staple within the K-Pop scene with powerful performances, self producing and self writing talents, heart and passioned filled ballads and english songs, solo activities such as solo debuts and promotions or modelling campaigns, charms and numerous talents to sold out tours. Intrigued readers and wanna be listeners can consider some of the most popular fan favourite live performances, MONSTA X Stage compilation videos, fan cams and even songs like: Hero, Middle of the night, GAMBLER, LOVE, One Day, Shoot Out, You Problem, Someone’s Someone Beautiful Liar, Love Killa, Alligator to name a few. 

Monsta X is a group currently consisting of Sohn Hyunwoo (Shownu) who is the leader, main dancer and sub vocalist within the group he completed his official mandatory military service back in 2023 and has since made his musicial debut in 2024. And Im ChangKyun who is the Lead Rapper, Sub Vocalist and Youngest member within the group and has since made his solo debut with his EP [ DUALITY ] back in 2021 before coming back with [ Off the Beat ] underneath his new company Sony Music Korea. 

The other members Lee MinHyuk, Yoo Kihyun, Chae Hyungwon and Joohoney are currently being expected to be discharged within a 2024 – 2025 time frame and will continue their solo activities and group activities after completing their military service in their respective positions. 

Ahead of their debut day ‘May 14th’, Monsta X would shower their beloved fans with content upon their numerous SNS (Social Media) pages such as Youtube, Instagram, FanCafe, Twitter (X) and Tik Tok. On Youtube, they would share pre filmed content of the members who are currently within military, such as a anniversary message, CHAElog (Hyungwon’s Vlog series), Let’s GO!5rae (Minhyuk’s series),KikiTrip (Kihyun’s Series) and most recently JOOHONEYWALKER (Joohoney’s series). 

Monsta X has since shared the behind the scenes of the anniversary livestream and the full ‘capture time’ moments, also known as screenshot moments that happen throughout the livestream or at the end of the livestream depending on the artist themselves.
