MONSTA X Kihyun completes military service!

As the morning of February 21st would begin in South Korea with sunny conditions, fans would crowd around the area anticipating the beloved artists return. Finally for what would feel like for the first time in a while, fans would lovingly greet the well beloved vocalist, soloist, radio host/mc, model and MONSTA X member Yoo Kihyun. 

Kihyun would serve in the 25th Infantry Division in the ROK Army which would be located in the Yangju-si based in Gyeonggi Province. Yangju-si itself is known for its beautiful views, astronomical observatory, outdoor facilities which are home to various outdoor performances, recreational areas, landscapes and beautiful mountain regions and so much more. 

On the official accounts for MONSTA X, they to would take to also announce his returns through videos, behind the scenes photos and more. Some fans even sharing translations, images, videos and more that they took to celebrate the return of Kihyun. Through this, international fans would learn that Kihyun himself would share that he has received several awards when in military, stating his experiences and his happiness to return and complete his mandatory military service. 

As Kihyun would thank fans for their time and their eagerness to greet him as he would complete his service, he would later return to the company’s vehicle before sharing several photos of himself and seemingly one of his awards, thanking fans while also happily sharing different photos with the members of MONSTA X. 

With Kihyun’s return, MONSTA X would announce that Kihyun will be holding a celebatory livestream for his return, not long after would the official platform [ DearU Bubble ] would announce the artist return to the global messaging platform and would start on 2025.02.04 KST.

Fans are also expecting to welcome back fellow member Hyungwon in May 2025.
