NEWSIS

NMIXX, a group from Seoul, has made a diversion from Mixxpop, which has been their identity since their debut. The group’s third single, “A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream,” was released on 11th, marking their third single. NMIXX hit a career high in their last album, with the title song ‘Love Me Like This’ from their first mini-album “expรฉrgo” reaching No. 4 on Melon’s ‘Top 100’ and “expรฉrgo” ranking 122nd on the Billboard main chart “Billboard 200.” They recently completed a solo showcase tour with 14 shows in 13 regions overseas.

NMIXX continues their good vibes with “A Midsummer NMIXX Dream,” which features cool vocals and a unique world view with the concept of a mysterious midsummer night party. The album aims to show the connection between NMIXX and NSWER, their fandom. In response to NMIXX’s momentum, JYP’s representative producer (PD) J.Y. Park collaborated on the title song ‘Party O’Clock,’ which tells the story of a secret party in the woods on a midsummer night. The song stands out with lyrical lyrics and a wide vocal spectrum.

NMIXX also worked on choreography with J.Y, Parkmade the wrist spinning choreography himself, taught them about the harmonization of the song directly. The group expressed excitement and nervousness about their first work with J.Y. Park PD. His advice about the importance of gratitude and humility in the entertainment industry was said to be memorable for the girls.

On the 3rd, they opened the curtain with the pre-released song ‘Roller Coaster,’ which compares the feeling of overflowing love to a roller coaster and is aimed at summer with a dreamy chorus of Bossa Nova rhythm. The song aims for addictiveness, with HaeWon confidently stating that if you listen to Mixxpop, which has a huge difference in genre, you could become addicted to it after just listening to it five times.

The goal is public recognition, and KyuJin expressed his desire for people to think that NMIXX is doing something new and taking on challenges. She practiced a lot to hear the song and hoped to see it on the summer playlist.
