Before he was known as an idol in the boy group Pentagon, Jung Wooseok actually first entered the entertainment scene with the thoughts about being a model and auditioning to his now former company Cube Entertainment, soon after being trained for a singer position he would later appear on the MNET survival show entitled [ Pentagon Maker ] and eventually pass to become an official member within the rapper, vocalist and Maknae (Youngest member) official position.
Pentagon is a group known for some of their most popular and fan favourite tracks and performs such as (but not limited to): Shine, Daisy, Feelin’ Like, Humph!, DO or NOT, Naughty Boy, Dr.BeBe, Sparkling Night, Runaway and SHINE (Japanese VER). The group is also often talked about for their Road to Kingdom Performances for showing incredible talents and new charms in stages like: ‘Very Good’ (Original by BlockB) EP3, Shine + Spring Snow (Original by Pentagon/ Remix), Kill This Love (Pentagon x ONF VER) (Original by BlackPink), Follow (Pentagon VER, Original by Monsta X).
Since then, numerous members of Pentagon have officially parted ways with Cube Entertainment while Hui and Jinho remain within the company. To start off the year and surprising fans, Wooseok would announce that he has signed an exclusive contract with UNDFND (Pronounced ‘Undefined’) Entertainment back on January 1st 2024, the company has also since set up official SNS (Social Media) Accounts underneath Wooseok’s name for future projects and releases making fans even more excited about what could be coming next.
It wouldn’t take long before the curiosity was answered as Wooseok would finally release and debut as a solo artist with the duo title single [ Empty Paper ] which contained the songs ‘Navy Blue’ (a homage to Pentagon’s official fandom colour: Universe Navy) and ‘Sketch’ on February 24th 2024. Within this time frame Wooseok would also release official MD (Merchandise), announce his first solo fan meeting and open up an official NAVER blog to talk to fans and provide updates such as his whereabouts and latest activities. Wooseok would also see a massive amount of support from both Universe and the general public as his time as a solo artist would begin.
While WeVerse is slowly making its way to become a popular fan and global artist messaging and social media platform where fans can keep up with their favourite artist, writing posts and even writing them digital fan letters. Wooseok has officially opened his new community (fellow members Kino, and Hongseok would be the first members to officially create their own solo community upon the app).
As fans dive into the app to start sending supporting messages, talking about his radio show or showing their streaming for ‘Navy Blue’ and ‘Sketch’, it’s clear that the fans are excited more then ever for what’s coming up next for Pentagon.
