“The Good Bad Mother” Star Lee DoHyun Announces His Military Enlistment

Lee DoHyun’s career is on the run to success, having back to back K-Drama hits since the start of career in 2017 in a cameo role as the young version of the main lead of “Prison Playbook,” to his most recent K-Drama wherein he is now the protagonist playing Choi KangHo on “The Good Bad Mother.”

Despite the continuous rising of his career, his kind heart and dedication to serve his country was always his priority.

According to Lee DoHyun’s company Yuehua Entertainment, he will be enlisting in the first half of 2023. However nothing has been decided yet for the exact date.

Lee DoHyun confirmed that his last two works before enlistment are the K-Drama “The Good Bad Mother” and the movie “Pamyo.” According to an interview he did with Top Star News, he decided to turn down a casting role in preparation for his enlistment.

Some fans and netizens are worried that this is the wrong time to enlist, as recently, Lee DoHyun has been experiencing the peak of his career.

The 28-year-old Lee DoHyun stated in an interview that he doesn’t worry about enrolling as he knows that this is the perfect time for him to enter the military. Lee DoHyun assures his fans that he really is ecstatic to enter the military and he even said he wanted to be a part of Marine Corps and Special Forces.

To quote him, “I am not ashamed to leave. It is a place to go anyway. I’ve always wanted to go to the army, because I think there’s more to learn when I enlist. I couldn’t learn anything on a personal level because I’ve been focusing on acting for the past 4-5 years. You can develop yourself more in the army.”
