When it comes to discovering new music, new artists and even digging into various music genres, there’s not a song or artist I won’t give a try at least once no matter what their concept may be. Recently when going through my music app and ‘revamping’ my playlists and starting fresh in a sense for the upcoming new year, I would come across one of my most recent favourites that I think more people should know in the global audience of K-Pop going into 2025.

Born underneath the name of Yoon Joosik on April 26th 1994, he would later debut as ‘Joosiq’ underneath the label/agency Recipe Music in 2020. Since then, although slowly but surely Joosik would become known for his r&b, ballad and impressive vocals, he would take part in a collaboration with OVAN back in 2020 for the song ‘Please Turn Off the Lights’ and would release the song ‘Good Night’. Since then, he has released popular fan favourites such as ‘Think About You’ (2021), ‘Baby I Need You’ (2022), ‘Too Late’ (2023) and ‘Breathing’ (2024). Earning himself a spot upon numerous popular playlists on Spotify and YouTube Music that would be the cause of many new fans finding his music. Sitting at an impressive 6K followers on Youtube, and steadily growing his fanbase on his official Instagram of the same name, the artist has a lot to offer.

To end the year on a high note, Joosiq would release a live clip of the song ‘Call my Name’ including officially releasing the track and soon to promote it on music shows as of this week. He would promote the song on popular shows such as INKIAGYO, a fancam and more expected to be release to help promote the relatable and heart warming track. With impressive features, and a soulful voice, Joosiq is the artist you need to know going into 2025. Know more about him or have a favourite song, consider leaving it in the comments!
