Hairstyles, choreographies, dance performances, and practices, variety of members, genres (Rock, Metal, EDM, Rock, Pop, Alternative Pop, R&B) and more. This type of variety being paired with fashion and model-like pictorials make up a big part of the reason individuals love to keep up with K-Pop itself despite how overwhelming it can get as a fan. 

If you are a casual listener, supporter, or purely just like to catch up on new music, within this article we will look into the current rookie list of K-Pop debuts and comebacks to know in August, with some you may not have heard of yet. 

Various idol groups and artists all have their distinctive qualities like an experimental or unique sound and countless performances, which deserves support from fans and non-fans alike. This list is purely a suggestion to help individuals who have a hard time navigating debuts and comebacks, as well as looking for something new.

TIME IS OUR TURN (TIOT) is a pre-debut Boy Group underneath Redstart Entertainment. The group consists of Kim MinSeoung, Kum JunHyeon, Hong KeonHee, and Choi Woojin. They will release a pre-debut album on August 28th, 2023.

The Wind is a boy group underneath WithUs Entertainment (a subsidiary of Around US Entertainment). The group consists of Shin JaeWon, Thanatorn, Park HayuChan, Kim HeeSoo, Choi HanBin, An ChanWon and Jang HyounJoon. The Wind released their pre debut single, ‘Sirius’, on April 23rd, 2023 before officially debuting on May 15th, 2023 with ‘ISLAND’. 

The group made a fun and summer filled comeback with ‘We Go‘ on August 2nd, 2023 asking fans if they’re ‘Ready’ while describing the joy of summer.

 

3. Rare House (Pre-Debut/Upcoming Debut) 

Rare House is a pre-debut trainee group that is assumed to begin promotions and debut underneath the name 82MAJOR due to numerous copyrights in various fields. 

The group would attract numerous eyes and attention with their special hip-hop performance video, ‘Illegal’, and showcases their fast rap in ‘Fire’. After only 4 months of being uploaded, the video would obtain 486K views (as of August 9th 2023)! Including attracting attention for the covers/videos of Crush and BTS j-hope’s ‘Rush Hour’, EXO D.O.’s ‘That’s Okay’, and more.

 

4. n.SSign (Debut)

Net Of Star Sign, better known as n.SSign, is a 10 member K-Pop global boy group that was formed by the survival show “Stars Awakening“. The group consists of members with varying nationalities which include Japanese, Korean, Asian American, Asian Australian and Taiwanese. The group consists of: Kazuta, Hyun, Eddie, DoHa, SungYun, JunHyeok, Robin, HanJun, Laurence and HuiWon who made their official debut on August 9th, 2023 with the album “Birth of Cosmo”. They have since become a permanent group on July 1st, 2023.

5. PLAN B

PLAN B is a multi-national five member K-Pop boy group that consists of Han (Korean), HWI (Korean), Roy (Thai), Hao (Chinese) and James (Thai). They are currently underneath H.LAND Entertainment and are set to debut without any minor members. Currently focusing on pre-debut and pre-release promotions, the group recently announced via their YouTube Community Tabs Page and other social media (SNS) regarding their debut showcase and how fans can register to support them both in English and Thai.
