Wonho reveals behind the scenes photos on his Instagram during military vacation and more

For those entering the K-Pop scene for the first time or returning for the first time in a while, something you learn about and hear for the first time is that every man in Korea needs to serve up to two years for their mandatory service. When it comes to enlistment, a variety of idols can be seen enlisting in different branches: The Army, Navy and the Airforce. While some will enlist in the Special Forces, Military Band, The Marines, Conscripted Police, Conscripted Police and more. Because of this, many fans across different SNS (Social Media) platforms often visit or create military countdown trackers, dedicated fan accounts to posting ‘posting () for a day until () comes back, or special projects dedicated to their idol or actor in terms of streaming, watching or promoting a certain album or promotion to ‘prepare’ for their discharge. 

Back in December of 2022, Lee Ho Seok (also widely known as ‘Wonho’) agency would announce that the artist would be joining the military as a public service worker. He is rumoured to be discharged on September 4th 2024 and has since been releasing constant pre filmed and pre promised content ranging from vlogs, behind the scenes videos and unseen photos, music clips and special anniversary. As promised in an article by BillBoard in 2022, fans have loved that the surprises keep on coming as he would release numerous photos on his Instagram, [ iwonhoyou ] where new photos would be shared with fans not to long after would the announcement of content entitled [ 2024 WENEE Summer Vacation Scheduler ]. 

Depending on the artist/idol themselves and what companies they are with, not everyone will update their SNS on a regular bases, or release numerous content on their pages. Depending on the individual many do update fans with different photos or a short live stream during their military enlistment.
